Soft Australian merino wool provides warmth, while the addition of acrylic ("faux wool") helps the pieces hold their shape and be more hard-wearing.


Merino wool is a fine wool. Today the largest population of this fine-wool breed is found in Australia. The sheep have adapted to the continent's harsh climate, which is why their wool is considered truly unique. It is incredibly fine, yet strong, warm and soft.


Acrylic is a soft, lightweight fabric that looks and feels like wool, which is why it is rightly called "faux wool." The resemblance isn't only visual: the fiber is very voluminous, fluffy and able to trap a lot of air, which is why garments made from it retain heat to the maximum. Acrylic items require no special care and are easy to use.

Characteristics
- Hygroscopicity. Merino wool absorbs moisture well, taking in up to 30% of water relative to its weight. A pleasant bonus: the wool stays dry and continues to retain warmth. This trait is especially valuable for outerwear that keeps its wearer warm even in the coldest and rainiest weather, both in autumn and winter.
- Hypoallergenic. Fine wool doesn't cause allergies, so it's suitable for children's clothing and garments for people with sensitive, irritated skin.
- Resistant to soiling. The fiber structure is springy, so the fibers repel dirt and other foreign particles. Items can be cleaned easily just by shaking them out.
- Heat retention. Merino fibers have a crimp, meaning many air-filled pockets form between them.
- No odors. This fabric protects against unpleasant odors thanks to the creatine in its composition. This natural repellent literally pushes bacteria away, creating an unfavorable environment for their survival.
- Merino wool cannot be replicated with synthetic or man-made materials. The unique properties of this natural material make it impossible to copy this fabric exactly.
- Softness and elasticity. For comparison: merino wool is three times softer than silk and five times more elastic than cotton.
- Fine merino fibers blend excellently with cashmere, alpaca or silk fibers. They serve as a high-quality base for creating premium blended fabrics.

Care
1. Natural wool, like other similar fabrics, requires careful handling and care.
2. Hand washing is recommended, using a wool detergent. Water temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. If you wash the wool fabric in water that's too hot, it may shrink by several sizes. It will also lose its strength and become rough and unpleasant to the touch.
3. The garment should not be dried in a tumble dryer at high temperature, nor near heating radiators or in direct sunlight. We recommend drying it laid flat on a towel.
4. You can iron a wool item, but carefully and on a specific setting — "wool" with steam.
