Linen fabric – a product made from processing the fibers of spinning flax. The material comes out uneven to the touch and has a matte surface. The method of producing fabric from flax stalks has changed little over thousands of years. Linen fabric items are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their unique characteristics. Linen fabrics are among the few made from completely natural raw material. Flax has valuable hygienic properties, such as the ability to draw away heat and moisture. In hot weather, a person dressed in linen clothing has a body temperature 3-4 degrees lower than in clothing made of other fabrics (especially synthetics). Sometimes polyester is added to the fabric so that it creases less.

Characteristics:

• eco-friendliness – the natural composition makes the fabric hypoallergenic and safe;

• hygienic properties — the fabric's surface is harmful to fungi and bacteria,

• thermal conductivity — in hot weather linen gives a feeling of coolness, in cool weather it retains warmth;

• breathability — the fabric lets air through, allowing the body to breathe without overheating;

• hygroscopicity - the material draws moisture away from the body into the environment;

• wear resistance - the fabric withstands numerous washes, doesn't pill, doesn't wear thin, doesn't fade, so after long-term use items still look new;

• strength – the threads come out strong, linen material is hard to tear;

• the fabric doesn't build up static, doesn't shock, and doesn't cling to the body.

Care:

• dyed linen can be washed at temperatures up to 60 degrees;

• linen can be washed either by hand or by machine;

• using bleach may damage the fabric;

• dry items unfolded, on a hanger if possible, to avoid creases and fold marks;

• iron the item while slightly damp, on the wrong side, with the iron set to maximum temperature;

• an over-dried item should be ironed through a damp cloth or steamed;

• it's best to store linen items in garment bags, as the fabric readily absorbs outside odors.
